2006 Mimosa Screen followed by a Disability Equality Debate. The Sage Gateshead
Film is an increasingly accessible medium as technology evolves. The short film is a highly effective vehicle for film artists – economically and creatively and lends itself well to innovation. The success of the London Disability Film Festival with seven annual festivals to its credit, held at the British Film Institute, demonstrates the level and quality of output and the demand for this medium. The programme for this screening of several shorts reflects films from regional and national film makers – many of the films are award winners eg Nuts For Pudding by Carpet Films is a triple Royal Television Society award winner.
